We'll be on campus between 10am - 5pm on Saturday and Sunday in the Sidney Myer Asia Centre!
About: Design Blitz is not your ordinary event; it's a thrilling journey where creativity & collaboration reign supreme! This two-day extravaganza is designed to ignite your imagination and sharpen your design skills.
What to Expect:
Rapid Prototyping: Hustle hard to bring your visions to life in record time! You and your team will create a UI design in response to our top-secret prompts that delivers the best user experience you can imagine and create over a weekend. With adrenaline pumping and ideas flowing, you'll bring your visions to life at lightning speed!
Creative Collaboration: Get your besties in on it or join forces with like-minded peers from diverse backgrounds as you form teams of 2-3 to take on the adventure. Together, you'll brainstorm, ideate, and innovate, pushing the boundaries of design excellence.
Showcase Showdown: You gotta be in it, to win it! We have a panel of passionate professionals who will be reviewing the design mocks you've created, and you won't just be winning street cred, but some sweet dolla dolla bills, y'all! Bring your A-game to dazzle the judges and peers alike. Fame and glory await the boldest designers!
Who Can Join: Design Blitz welcomes students of all backgrounds and skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned design pro or a curious newbie, there's a place for you in our creative haven! All you need is passion, enthusiasm, and a thirst for UX/UI.
Catering: Leave your lunch at home. We know you'll be far too busy making magic to organise sustenance, so we've done it for you. For those competing on campus in Sidney Myer, youll enjoy a free lunch on both Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements
Submission Deadline Sunday May 5th 2:15pm
Create and submit a link to a Figma file with your UX/UI design.
- It may include wireframes, prototypes, and before-and-after comparisons (to demonstrate your design decisions and the impact of your work)

We’ve prepared some considerations below for things we’d love to know more about. Please note each presentation is brief—every group will have 3 minutes to chat about their design—you do not need to touch on all these points.
- How is the brand identity reflected in your design?
- consider: colours, typography, imagery and the brand's personality and values.
- How were your design decisions were driven by user needs and preferences?
- Were there any guiding principles or philosophies that informed your design choices?
- Are there elements of the design that you struggled with or are you particularly proud of?
- Are there any innovative features or approaches that differentiate your design from others or traditional solutions.
- Are there any optimisations or improvements that help streamline processes, reduce friction, or increase efficiency for users.
Please try to be as concise as possible or pick one or two of the above prompts that you think is the juiciest.
